As a result of participating in the Magic Gardener's fun and educational programs, students will:

Ø Learn to apply science to everyday life.

Ø Integrate different types of scientific knowledge to explain and predict natural phenomena.

Ø Learn that living organisms have basic needs, and that organisms can survive only in environments in which their needs can be met.

Ø Learn how living things function, adapt and change.

Ø Understand how discarded items contribute to the problem of waste disposal, and compare the relative effectiveness of reducing, reusing and recycling.

Ø Discover how personal and societal choices that humans make affect local, regional and global ecosystems.

Ø Explore how modern technology has increased the efficiency of agriculture.
