Salute to Agriculture:  Our Magic Farm

Students who participate in this program will learn:

Ø      That nearly everything they eat or wear comes from American farmers.

Ø      Some of the economics involved in farming.

Ø      To identify the physical and economic inputs needed in farming.

Our Magic Farm is designed to run for 30 to 45 minutes, but can be adjusted for your individual needs.  Comedy and magic are used to teach basic principles of agricultural science.

Please note:  as mentioned on the Magic Gardener home page, Larry has spent over 18 years as an Extension Educator with Purdue University, working with farmers in a supportive role.  Our Magic Farm is designed to demonstrate the highest respect to farmers for the difficult job they have in feeding America.

Our Magic Farm is best suited for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, but can be adapted for older (high school) audiences.  Our Magic Farm can also be adapted for adult audiences, including farm meetings, grower conferences, and civic groups.  A variation of this show was held at the Indiana State Fair in August, 2004.
