The Four Seasons of the Magic Garden

Students who participate in this program will learn:

Ø      About the inputs needed to grow trees, flowers, and gardens.

Ø      The effect of pests on trees and garden plants.

Ø      Pest control options for the garden.

The Four Seasons of the Magic Garden is designed to run for 30 to 45 minutes, but can be adjusted for your individual needs.  Comedy and magic are used to teach basic horticultural principles.  Various routines are interwoven around the theme of planting a garden and trying to raise a crop of vegetables and/or flowers.  However, the Magic Gardener keeps making mistakes, or running into unforeseen problems, and needs the students to help make things right.

The Four Seasons of the Magic Garden is best suited for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, but can be adapted for older (high school) audiences.  The Four Seasons of the Magic Garden can also be adapted for adult audiences, including garden clubs, Master Gardener conferences, and civic groups.
